 Welcome to my web site. I would like to get to know you but first allow me tell you a bit about myself.
I was born in Naples, Italy in 1930 and immigrated to the United States in 1958. I am a fine arts painter.a sculptor and a poet. I own an art gallery in Bay Shore, NY, "Armando's Art Gallery." I offer paintings by myself and others, restore paintings and antiques, I also accept commissions to do portraits in any media.
As a Child, drawing, more than anything, occupied my time. In my early teens, I went to every art exhibition and then apprenticed with great artists.My art was influenced by many Artist of that period like Eduardo De Filippo,DeChirico, Ciro Arnes, Giuseppe Garigliani, Nicola Ascione, and other great artists of that era. Prior to coming to the United States I became art director for the famous Capodimonte ceramics.
As a teenager, I developed a passion for peotry. I have written over five hundred poems for Neapolis ( Napoli ) I hope to preserve this for future generations.
